The 5th stop on our  UK wide Tour…The 100 First Women Portraits exhibition at New Walk Museum and Art Gallery, Leicester, will be open to visitors from: 

Saturday 14th September – Sunday 27th October 2019 

Open every day 11am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday  and 11am-5pm at Saturday and Sunday

Free Entry

Friday 27th September

How Women Will Be Remembered Over The Next 100 Years
The Future of Women’s Empowerment

A panel of some of Leicester’s most inspirational and successful women will be discussing what the future holds for women’s rights and empowerment, followed by a Q&A

Ticket price £2.50

Doors 6pm for private view and bar, event begins at 7.30pm

Tuesday 8th October

100 First Women Portraits: Artist’s Talk and Tour – Anita Corbin

The photographer and creative director of 100 First Women Portraits takes you on a tour of the exhibition. Revealing the stories behind meeting these inspirational Firsts and how she turned her ‘vision’ of celebrating the centenary of ‘Votes for Women’ into a realty.

A Tale of Two Extremes – Dame Inga Beale

From a rebellious teenager to becoming the first woman to head up the world’s oldest insurance marketplace – Lloyd’s of London, Inga will share insights into how her life was shaped and inspired by those around her.

Ticket price £5.00 for both £3.00 for single.

‘HOME  : an outward journey inwards’ screening and Q&A
Sarah Outen MBE

British Adventurer, author and motivational speaker Sarah Outen presents her new film HOME. Intimately and unflinchingly capturing Sarah’s 4.5 year human powered journey around the world.
