Who knows what Christmas will be like this year, so we figured that a yule-time rockin’ special with one of our most well-known firsts would be a treat for all our supporters. We will also be playing Suzi’s Christmas single (out on general release on December 2nd). We hope to see you on the 17th!

About First Women:Live! Pioneers In Your Living Room

Every 6-8 weeks we invite the firsts (and you of course) to hop on a Zoom call. For an hour, our inspiring trailblazers talk about their pivotal experiences, challenging moments and fascinating anecdotes via questions from social media and you, our live audience.
First Women:Live! was created to keep the spirit of the 100 First Women Portraits alive during an unprecedented time during which so many public spaces were closed. In order to maintain a relationship between the portraits and the public, FW:L! was born.

The 5 Songs that Got me Through Lockdown by Suzi Quatro

To celebrate her upcoming FW:L!, we asked Suzi to share with us her favourite, most uplifting tracks from over 50 years in the music business.
‘This was easy – I have listened to Sam Cooke’s Greatest Hits more than once during this time, but the track I’d choose would be, You Send Me, just because his voice makes me so happy. I’d choose Bob Dylan’s Lay, Lady, Lay; simply because I adore Dylan. Another personal favourite is God Bless The Child by Billie Holiday which I have listened to lots of time during this period. Finally, I’d go for You’ve Got A Friend by Carole King and the wonderful Jackson Browne’s Running on Empty.

You can listen to Suzi’s tracks below.

‘Suzi Q’ a new documentary about Suzi’s life and career is available on Amazon HERE.
